Position Overview:

FWC has a current opportunity available for an Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of litigation experience in matters involving the healthcare industry and will be a current member of the California State Bar. Candidates must possess excellent academic credentials as well as strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year

Compensation commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a high-volume caseload from inception through resolution.
  • Consistently engage in the preparation of client reports, both formal and informal.
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including court appearances, depositions, trial preparation, and legal research.
  • Manage written discovery and prepare for depositions.
  • Conduct fact investigations, participate in law and motion practice, and interface with expert witnesses.
  • Engage in social media investigations relevant to casework.
  • Collaborate with team members while also working independently.


Qualifications:

  • JD degree
  • Admitted to practice in California
  • Medical background and/or familiarity with medical records and terms is a plus
  • Experience managing written discovery, and preparing for depositions
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must possess strong written and analytical skills, as well as be committed to exceptional client service.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to multitask
  • Detailed oriented and strong rapport-building skills
  • Exercising a high degree of initiative, independence, and the ability to meet time frames in performing assigned tasks.
  • Commitment to exceptional client service.

Responsibilities:

  • Consistently engage in the preparation of client-ready reports, formal and informal
  • Independently manage a high-volume caseload
  • Regularly handle court appearances and depositions/trial preparation
  • Legal research, discovery, fact investigation, law, and motion practice interface with expert witnesses, social media investigations
