This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to public infrastructure projects while developing technical and professional skills within a collaborative supportive environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with plan checking for encroachment permits; land development grading plans street plans water & sewer plans drainage plans drainage studiesReview traffic control plans for compliance with applicable standardsCoordinate with utilities contractors consultants and municipal departmentsSupport construction management activities including resolving field issues when neededPrepare technical documentation reports and project correspondenceProvide Capital Improvement Plan project support to senior engineers and public works staffRequired Skills & KnowledgeUnderstanding of engineering principles related to public works utilities and/or land development projectsFamiliarity with land development and CEQA is preferredAwareness of relevant local state and federal regulations applicable to public works and development projectsProficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office required)Exposure to AutoCAD 3D GIS ArcView or ArcInfo is a plusStrong organizational analytical and communication skillsEducation & CertificationBachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institutionEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or active progress toward a California PE license preferredCOMPENSATION& BENEFITS:SAFEbuilt pays competitive wages and has acomprehensive benefit offering.Benefits include health dental vision life and disabilityinsurances paid holidays paid time offmatching 401K Plans wellnessprogramsand more.SAFEbuilt is committed to Career Progression through paid training and step increases foradditionalcertifications and licenses.Salary Range:$100000 - $130000More aboutInterwest: Group is a municipal consulting firm focused on providing thoughtful tailored solutions that build thriving communities.
