Associate Commodity Manager at Emerson

Based in our Shakopee MN location you will support the development and execution of sourcing strategies for assigned mechanical commodities or categories ensuring cost competitiveness quality and supply continuity. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to manage day-to-day procurement activities assist in negotiations and contribute to strategic initiatives that drive operational excellence. This position offers a chance to learn and grow within a global organization while building expertise in supplier management and strategic sourcing.In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:Develop and implement sourcing strategies in alignment with organizational strategy to ensure a reliable supply chain for mechanical parts and assembliesConsistently track and monitor supplier performance to drive improvements and ensure global supply chain networks meet operational needsDrive cost savings and trade working capital improvements (DPO/Inventory) through negotiations eSourcing and other activities related to supplier selection and short/long-term strategiesSupply sources and lead projects within assigned commoditiesSupport annual financial planning and commodity report cyclesAssist with other strategic operations and supply chain projects and initiatives as neededBachelors degree in: Supply Chain Business or Engineering (advanced degree a plus)2 years experience in supply chain in a global manufacturing environmentBasic understanding of mechanical partsLegal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this positionWho You Are:You balance planning with actions.
