Associate Dentist at Universal Smiles Family Dentistry

The practice provides routine preventive services as well as same-day emergency appointments to address urgent dental needs. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Associate Dentist role based in Edgewater, FL. The Associate Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of restorative, preventive, and emergency services. Daily responsibilities include performing procedures such as fillings, extractions, crowns, and basic endodontic treatments, while ensuring high standards of infection control and patient safety. The role involves educating patients on oral hygiene, discussing treatment options, and collaborating with the dental team to deliver efficient, coordinated care. The Associate Dentist will also document clinical findings accurately, review radiographs, and contribute to a positive, respectful practice environment.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active and unrestricted Florida dental license, with current DEA registration or eligibility.
- Clinical proficiency in restorative, preventive, and emergency dental procedures, including exams, fillings, extractions, and crown preparation.
- Strong diagnostic and treatment planning abilities, including interpretation of radiographs and clinical findings.
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care, including clear communication and patient education across diverse populations.
- Dedication to infection control, OSHA and HIPAA compliance, and adherence to evidence-based clinical standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative team members in a fast-paced practice.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with reliability in managing a full schedule and same-day emergencies.
- CPR/BLS certification required; experience with digital radiography and electronic dental records preferred.
- Prior experience in family or general dentistry is preferred, but motivated early-career dentists with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply.
