OverviewAs an Associate DevSecOps Engineer you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice delivering features to support cloud and application development. We are looking for candidates with experience with cloud platform services and DevSecOps practices such as build/release management CI/CD practices and process automation.ContributionsResponsibilities include:Establishing development tools and infrastructure for automationUnderstanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developersAutomate and improve development testing deployment and release processesTesting and examining code written by others and analyzing resultsEnsuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threatsIdentifying technical problems performing root cause analysis and developing software updates and fixesWorking with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intendedSupport enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure through infrastructure as code including any activities around automated server or network configurations large-scale software deployments and monitoring and testing such as CI/CDDocument as-is state of the environment perform a gap analysis and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendationsLeverage virtualization and containerization to optimize and modernize software systemsWork with teams to bring continuous improvement to DevSecOps processes and tools.Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services providedPresent regular status updates and provide cross training to other DevOps team members.QualificationsRequired:Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security ClearanceBS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experienceExperience with one or more clouds (i.e. AWS Azure or GCP)Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub GitLab BitbucketExperience with one or more programming or scripting languagesPreferred:Certifications:AWS Cloud PractitionerAWS Solution Architect AssociateAzure Developer Associate1 year of application DevSecOps Experience with actual/active development experience in an Agile environmentExperience implementing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as KubernetesExperience implementing infrastructure as code and orchestrationExperience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins GitLab CI/CD GitHub Pipelines CircleCI TravisCIExperience implementing Automated Testing frameworks including SeleniumHands on experience integrating deployments with industry standard DevSecOps tooling and orchestrationExcellent written and verbal communication skills interpersonal and collaborative skillsAbout steampunkSteampunk relies on several factors to determine salary including but not limited to geographic location contractual requirements education knowledge skills competencies and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $70000 to $10000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
