This position is responsible for overseeing project managers project management estimating construction and project construction communications. This position is instrumental in the development implementation and overall management of assigned University capital construction projects. This position is involved in commissioning project documentation close-out and project information archive management services design guideline updates and the project design review process.Additional InformationThis position requires good interpersonal skills for conducting in person telephone and written communications with all levels of the University community and a wide spectrum of internal and external entities and agencies including consultants vendors architects engineers interior designers contractors tradespeople suppliers furniture suppliers etc. Required communications range from project and schedule information communications requests for information assistance or service to more complicated inquiries related to planned construction work or work in progress.Salary Rate / Pay Rate$120000 - $140000/annualRequired Qualifications1. Bachelors (or higher) degree.2. Three (3) years (36 months) of full time (or part time equivalent) professional level work experience in building construction management building project management or a closely related field of which one (1) year (12 months) must have included supervisory experience.Preferred Qualifications1. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with MS Project and University Facility Management software programs2. Knowledge of State of Illinois and Illinois State University purchasing requirements3. Knowledge of Illinois State University Design Guidelines4. Knowledge and experience with construction project manuals and specifications5.
