Paid on the job training.Job Duties:Sticker sample bags for 5150 drillsTake bags and tags to 6290 drillsTake proper field duplicate samplesTake proper collar samples when necessaryPick up samples from drills and take to lab with CRM and SRMFollow company safety and environmental standardsComplete Stop & Think forms for each new taskAssist with connex workQualifications : Minimum Qualifications:Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in EnglishAbility to communicate in English with respect to job assignments job procedures and applicable safety standardsAble to lift 50lbsKey Working Relationships: Excellent problem-solving skills with complex problems including both definition of the problem and generation and evaluation of solutions.Excellent planning and organizational skills including goal setting group performance monitoring and the ability to modify priorities where necessary to achieve these goals.The ability to decide from a range of competing options where the outcomes are not entirely predictable.Effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to convince others to co-operate and contribute.While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand sit demonstrate manual dexterity climb stairs and ladders talk hear and see.Be able to walk over rugged terrain up to 6 miles per day in hot & humid and/or cold weather with occasional rain & snow.Must be able to work shift work with 12-hour shifts.Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.Work is in a surface mine setting which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.Safely operate 4WD light vehicles on highways off-road and on an active mine site.Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment including hart hat hearing protection safety glasses safety footwear and as needed respirator rubber steel-toe boots protective clothing gloves and any other protective equipment as required.Additional Information : WHATS ON OFFER:Competitive salary quarterly bonusComprehensive benefits package including health vision and dental insurance 401K and moreGreat residential location close to Charlotte NC and is located between the mountains and OceanSupportive work environment with a focus on safety and teamworkYOU MATTER: OceanaGold is committed to providing equal employment opportunities.
