Litigation Associate (2-8 Years)
Secured Creditors, Receiverships, Commercial & Employment Litigation

We are a growing Chicago-based litigation boutique comprised of eight professionals handling sophisticated disputes nationwide. Our attorneys regularly represent secured creditors, court-appointed receivers, financial services companies, and C-suite executives in high-stakes matters in state and federal courts, bankruptcy courts, and arbitration forums. We offer associates the opportunity to assume meaningful responsibility from day one, work directly with clients, and gain substantial courtroom experience early in their careers.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated litigation associate with 2-8 years of experience to join our expanding practice. This position is ideal for a lawyer who enjoys taking ownership of cases, appearing in court, and working closely with clients on complex litigation matters. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to handle a broad range of commercial disputes, creditors' rights matters, receiverships, bankruptcy-related litigation, and employment disputes.
Responsibilities
- Represent secured creditors and court-appointed receivers in litigation matters.
- Represent clients in commercial litigation and arbitration proceedings from inception through resolution.
- Handle matters pending in state courts, federal courts, bankruptcy courts, and arbitral forums.
- Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation-related filings.
- Appear in court for hearings, status conferences, and oral arguments.
- Advise clients regarding litigation strategy, risk management, and employment-related issues.
- Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other stakeholders.
- Manage cases independently with appropriate supervision and mentoring.
Qualifications
- 2-8 years of litigation experience.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Experience with creditors' rights, commercial litigation, or bankruptcy matters preferred.
- Familiarity with employment law is a plus.
- Comfortable appearing in court and arguing motions.
- Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills.
- Outgoing personality with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
- Self-starter capable of managing multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.
- Admission to the Illinois Bar required.
