The Associate Head Coach is responsible for day-to-day coaching responsibilities and is expected to meet recruiting and retention goals. This position will also assist the Director on the coordination of travel, meet management, equipment management, and fundraising.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Recruit, retain and graduate successful student-athletesAssist in executing recruiting strategies to meet the recruitment and retention goalsCollaborate with Director of Swimming and Diving on ensuring academic performance and personal development of student-athletes is in alignment with institutional and program goalsAssist the Director of Swimming and Diving with all operations of running a successful swimming and diving programDemonstrate high level of intercultural competence and the ability to work with diverse populationMaintain a high level of professionalism toward student-athletes, other coaches, parents, administrators, and members of the communityAdhere all Howard University, Northeast Conference and NCAA rules and regulationsAttend regular athletic and admission staff meetingsSUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:Reports to the Director of Swimming and Diving.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree required.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:At least 3-5 years of Collegiate coaching experienceCompliance Salary Range DisclosureEXPECTED SALARY RANGE: $55,000 - $60,000
