Work Flexibility: RemoteTheAssociate Legal Counsel Acute Careis primarily responsible for proactively handling a broad range of legal and compliance matters associated with the Acute Care business unit within the global medical division including working closely with business unit leadership functional partners and outside counsel on a variety of critical matters for the division.This position offers a remote work flexibility within the United States.What you will do:Bring a solutions-oriented approach to solving complex issues prioritizing multiple workstreams and coordinating across functional groups to advance business objectives resolve disputes and promote the growth of the divisionProvide analysis and timely counsel on legal regulatory and compliance issues including with respect to litigation medical device regulations intellectual property employment mergers and acquisitions data privacy competition law AdvaMed anti-kickback FCPA and other anti-corruption lawsIndependently draft review negotiate and advise on a variety of agreements (e.g. sales services supply distribution consulting clinical study non-disclosure employment and other commercial arrangements)Analyze and provide clear and concise guidance on laws rules regulations and Stryker policies as necessary including with respect to the companys interactions with healthcare professionalsCollaborate with lawyers and other professionals from Strykers Centers of Expertise to manage a variety of significant matters (e.g. strategic contracting data privacy and security intellectual property litigation employment and regulatory matters)Assist in managing litigation and pre-litigation disputes with support from the in-house legal team and outside counselReview marketing promotional and scientific activities and related materials for compliance with Stryker policies and applicable laws and regulationsSeek to streamline and continuously improve legal and compliance services across the organizationPartner closely with the compliance team to assist in managing a robust compliance program to address key risks Provide in-house training and education to business stakeholders to enhance awareness and understanding of applicable laws regulations and Stryker policiesWhat you need:Bachelors degreeJuris Doctor (JD)License to practice Law in the US10 years of work experienceExperience working in a highly collaborative environment and building relationships of trust with key stakeholdersStrong analytical drafting and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated commitment to integrity and accountabilityPreferred Experience in Mergers and Acquisitions is highly desirableCommercial Contract Experience In-house experience at a medical technology or pharmaceutical companyHealthcare industry knowledge or backgroundChange communications or change management experience Strong judgment communication skills professional demeanor and business acumenExperience providing legal advice in a highly regulated environment$149300 - $329000 salary plus bonus eligible benefits.
