Litigation Associate Attorney - Personal Injury
Wilde Law is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join our growing personal injury law firm. We are looking for a sharp, organized, and persuasive attorney who enjoys litigation, takes ownership of cases, and wants to grow with a strong team.
The ideal candidate is a "can-do" attorney and curious problem solver. This person should be comfortable managing a full caseload while also being able to focus deeply on individual cases when drafting demand letters, pleadings, motions, discovery, and mediation materials. Balancing the big picture with the details of each case is essential.
This is an in-office position. It is not hybrid or remote. Our clients need to be able to walk into the office and meet face-to-face with their attorney. We are looking for someone who values client communication, professional presence, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
The Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for helping move personal injury cases forward through negotiation, litigation, arbitration, mediation, and trial preparation. Responsibilities include:
- Drafting persuasive legal pleadings, motions, discovery, demand letters, mediation statements, arbitration briefs, and other case-related documents.
- Preparing for and participating in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and jury trials.
- Communicating with clients regularly to keep them informed, answer questions, and help them maintain confidence in the progress of their case.
- Negotiating effectively with insurance adjusters, defense counsel, and opposing parties.
- Analyzing liability, damages, medical records, insurance coverage, litigation strategy, and case value.
- Preparing cases for trial, including working with witnesses, experts, exhibits, motions, and trial themes.
- Appearing in court and arguing motions before judges.
- Working closely with support staff, attorneys, and team members to move cases efficiently and professionally.
- Maintaining strong organization and focus across an active caseload.
- Using case management software to track case progress, deadlines, tasks, notes, and important case information.
Qualifications
- One to three years of litigation experience is ideal, but we will consider candidates with other experience levels if they are the right fit.
- The candidate must be licensed to practice law in Utah or eligible for admission.
- Strong legal writing skills are required. We are looking for someone who can draft with structure, clarity, and persuasion.
- The candidate should be comfortable in the courtroom and should look forward to arguing motions, preparing for trial, and presenting cases effectively.
- Experience with personal injury litigation is preferred.
- Spanish-speaking ability is a strong plus.
- The candidate should be familiar with case management software like Filevine.
- The candidate should be able to effectively draft, edit, and format documents using Microsoft Word.
- Familiarity with Westlaw and CoCounsel is preferred.
- The candidate should be professional, focused, reliable, and able to work without creating distractions for others or being distracted by personal devices during the workday.
