Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Network Designer to join the team in Tukwila, WA or Kent, WA.The Network Designer will assist in planning and assessing program requirements and will integrate activities of other employees to accomplish program objectives. You will also be responsible for multiple programs in the Washington area.Position Responsibilities:Manages the scope of work for program activities and interaction with connected sites and other programsWorks on project management for multiple activities and prioritization as necessaryIdentifies resources needed for successful accomplishmentWorks on Network Design, equipment procurement, equipment configuration and installation, cable and wire design and implementation, network break-fix, security plan integration, equipment decommission and surplus, capital/expense planning to ensure that the programs have a secure communications network to perform program development and execution in support of program customerWorks with hardware and software support to Secure Network, Secure Voice and other non-standard system integrationSupports security activities such as United States (US) government Risk Management Framework (RMF) Compliance, Security Evaluation Checklists, device sanitization, contamination cleanup, and support to the management of System Security PlansDevelops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders and peersExercises critical thinking and innovative problem solvingActs as the initial point of escalation for issues or challenges encountered by the teamWorks to effectively triage and de-escalate issues with impacted partiesDevelops and executes project and process plans and implements policies and proceduresBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):1+ years of experience with Cisco routers and switches & Cisco IOS implementations1+ years of experience with Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN)1+ years of experience utilizing Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) network protocolsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor's degree or higherExperience with Palo Alto next generation firewall systems, network monitoring systems, and AAA/RADIUS/TACACS+Experience with EncryptorsExperience with DNS/DHCP/IPAMExperience with team leadershipDepartment of Defense (DoD) 8570 certification (Security+ preferred)CCNA, CCNP or other Cisco CertificationDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies .
