Associate or Experienced Technical Documentation SpecialistCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SI&WS) organization is seeking an Associate or Experienced Technical Documentation Specialist to join the Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) Chief Engineering Team in Huntsville AL. This role emphasizes editing formatting organizing and presenting technical documentation and data with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Office skills to support program technical excellence and configuration integrity.Positions Responsibilities:Edit format compile and maintain technical documents reports drawings metadata and datasets to Company and industry standardsConsolidate data from multiple sources (engineering data test reports BOMs spreadsheets) into clear consistent deliverablesCreate and maintain standardized templates style guides and document control procedures using Microsoft Word and PowerPointDevelop and manage Excel workbooks for data consolidation analysis and reporting (including pivot tables formulas lookup functions charts and Power Query where applicable)Perform quality checks and self-validation of compiled documentation and datasets to ensure accuracy completeness and adherence to revision and naming conventionsCoordinate with engineering manufacturing configuration management and program teams to gather required data and resolve documentation discrepanciesManage document distribution and controlled access using SharePoint Teams and other Microsoft collaboration toolsSupport periodic reporting and presentation needs by producing polished PowerPoint briefings and executive summariesAssist in maintaining configuration management records ensuring documents are labeled archived and retrievable in accordance with program proceduresThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.This position requires ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance post start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):2 years in a technical drafting/writing documentation or data-management roleStrong written and verbal communication and editing skills; ability to make technical content clear and teachableAbility to collect organize synthesize and present data; draw conclusions and offer recommendationsComfortable reading and interpreting technical information and translating it into accessible documentationExperience collaborating with diverse professionals and coordinating inputs from multiple contributorsProficient in Microsoft Word: styles templates tables of contents and track changes for collaborative reviewsProficient in Microsoft PowerPoint: creating clear engaging presentations and visualsExperience with product data management systems for document controlPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Familiarity with CAD tools or willingness to learn how to extract key information from drawingsUnderstanding of configuration management principles (revision control naming conventions)Experience creating training materials user guides or step-by-step proceduresExperience with databases or scripting for automating repetitive tasks is a plus but not requiredFamiliarity with engineering specifications and standardsRelocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
