Associate or Mid-level Manufacturing Engineer 2nd ShiftCompany:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes is looking for Associate or Mid-level Manufacturing Engineer 2nd Shift to join our Production Engineering organization supporting the 787 Program in beautiful North Charleston SC.As part of PE youll be the central hub of activity collaborating with design teams manufacturing experts suppliers and customers. Youll help establish the common processes standards and procedures that ensure we meet government regulations and stay competitive in the market.Primary Responsibilities: Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies.Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.Develop identify and implement conceptual designs while maintaining the program architecture for build.Lead and implement manufacturing plans.Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability aligns with requirements.Assist in providing producibility information for project plans and document best practices.Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.Resolve technical problems that significantly impact performance cost or schedule.Coordinate and implement new engineering principles theories advanced technologies and concepts.Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems.Implement lean principles and technologiesThis position is for 2nd shift.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an ABET accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology computer science mathematics physics or chemistry and applicable experience in a professional exempt engineering classification.2 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experiencePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Mid Level: 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience2 years of engineering experience related to the development selection and/or revision of parts materials and process specifications for production testing electrical subsystems aircraft interiors and other aircraft systems.2 years of experience in production planning including ownership of value stream build plans.Experience with 787 systems build plans production testing electrical installations and/or aircraft interiors is a plus.Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a demanding work environment and schedule.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay Range Summary:At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
