Were looking for an outstanding Music Educator who can guide students through music theory, lead group classes, and provide private instruction in one or more instruments.This is more than a teaching position.Its an opportunity to shape confident young musicians, nurture creativity, and build a program that becomes a cornerstone of our studios mission.If you want to make an impact, take ownership of your craft, and be part of a team that values excellence, structure, and heart wed love to meet you.If youre looking for a temporary gig or a filler job, this may not be the right fit.Were searching for someone committed to growth, consistency, leadership, and giving their best to our students.Position Requirements & ScheduleThis position requires consistent availability during:MondayThursday: 3:00 PM8:00 PMThursday: 9:00 AM12:00 PMFriday: 9:00 AM12:00 PMSaturday: 9:00 AM2:00 PMApplicants must be able to commit to these hours.Music classes and private lessons will be scheduled within this window.Teachers will not be scheduled for every hour listed, however:Applicants must have open, consistent availability during these hours.The specific class schedule will be assigned based on program needs and may change or grow seasonally.Applicants with recurring conflicts during these times (other jobs, weekly rehearsals or classes, etc.) arenot a fit for this position.What Were Looking For Versatile & Confident Music EducatorsAble to teach music theory in engaging, age-appropriate group classes.Confident teaching private instrument lessons piano required, guitar strongly preferred. (Drums, violin, ukulele, and other instruments are a bonus.)Comfortable teaching vocal lessons if qualified.Passionate about inspiring students, building musical foundations, and sparking creativity.Flexible and adaptable classes and lessons are assigned based on expertise, experience, and studio needs.Reliable, Professional, & Organized LeadersPunctual and fully prepared for every class and lesson.Strong classroom management skills able to guide groups of 1 to 15 confidently.Maintains professionalism, communication, and positive energy with students and families.Follows studio expectations, curriculum structure, and teaching standards.Takes full responsibility for engaging lessons, student progress, and musical development.Growth-Oriented MentorsPassionate about nurturing developing musicians, tracking progress, and helping them set goals.Excited about opportunities to expand the music program such as choir groups, vocal ensembles, or multi-instrument workshops.Open to taking on leadership roles as the program grows.Interested in participating in performances, showcases, and studio events.What Youll Be DoingGroup Music Theory InstructionPrepare and lead engaging, structured music theory classes for ages 35, 68, 912, and teens if needed.Teach rhythmic understanding, notation, musicality, listening skills, and foundational musicianship.Use creative teaching methods to make theory accessible and fun.Private Lessons & Instrument InstructionProvide 1:1 lessons for beginner-level musicians in piano, guitar, or any additional instruments you teach.Support students in technique, confidence, practice habits, and overall growth.Prepare students for seasonal performances and progress evaluations.Vocal Instruction (if applicable)Teach beginner vocal technique, breathing, pitch, tone, confidence, and performance skills.Potential to lead group vocal classes or even a childrens choir as the program expands.Student & Family EngagementBuild supportive, encouraging relationships with students and families.Communicate important updates about scheduling, progress, and events.Welcome trial students and create a positive, memorable first experience.Studio Collaboration & Program DevelopmentWork closely with leadership and fellow educators to build a cohesive arts environment.Help shape the music programs curriculum, class structure, and student pathways.Assist with studio events, showcases, and marketing content when needed.Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming music classroom and lesson space.Compensation & Growth OpportunitiesBase Pay: $20/hourEstimated Hours Per Week: 4-10Performance-Based Bonuses:Compensation can increase based on enrollment, retention, and program success.Professional Growth:Leadership roles and additional teaching hours available based on performance and commitment.Compensation structure and growth opportunities will be discussed during the hiring process.Why Join The Movement Dance Experience?Supportive, Positive Environment Our team is tight-knit, passionate, and committed to excellence.Room to Grow We believe in developing our educators, offering support, mentorship, and training.Meaningful Impact Your work helps shape confident, expressive, and creative young artists.A Studio That Feels Like Home We care deeply about our culture, our families, and our team.Does This Sound Like You?If youre a creative professional who takes pride in your work, owns your responsibilities, and thrives in a structured, positive environmentwe want to meet you.If youre passionate about inspiring young artists and contributing to a strong, growth-driven teamApply today!
