Job Description
Key Responsibilities and Duties Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to underwrite investment opportunities across PEJC.Assist in the preparation of internal memoranda and other materials used to support investment recommendations and to communicate with internal constituents.Assist with monitoring the performance of existing portfolio investments including regular communication with private equity firms management teams and third-party clients.Develop and manage relationships with private equity firms and other intermediaries to generate investment deal flow.Participate in due diligence meetings with sponsors and portfolio company executives.Additional RequirementsCapital markets structuring experience with a preference for a background in private equity mezzanine finance leveraged loans equity research secondaries or M&A.Demonstrated experience developing and using financial statement analysis and financial modeling.Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint required.Strong knowledge of accounting and finance.Excellent analytical communication and presentation skills.Willingness to work hard in a team-oriented performance-based environment.A self-starter that requires limited oversight in the completion of individual projects.Educational RequirementsBachelors degree in relevant field.Work Experience1 - 4 years of relevant experience including a private equity fund hedge fund investment bank consulting firm or a related capital markets position.Physical RequirementsPhysical Requirements: Sedentary WorkCareer Level6ICSalary Range: $110000 - $150000 / annuallyRelated SkillsAnalytical Skills Business Development Communication Contract Management Due Diligence Financial Modeling Investment Research/Analysis Investor Relationship Management Negotiation Portfolio Construction Portfolio Management Private Equity InvestmentsAnticipated Posting End Date:Base Pay Range: $155000/yr - $217000/yrActual base salary may vary based upon but not limited to relevant experience time in role base salary of internal peers prior performance business sector and geographic addition to base salary the competitive compensation package may include depending on the role participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example annual discretionary incentive programs non-annual sales incentive plans or other non-annual incentive plans).Company OverviewChurchill an investment-specialist affiliate of Nuveen (the asset manager of TIAA) provides customized financing solutions to U.S. middle market private equity firms and their portfolio companies across the capital structure.
