JOB DESCRIPTION

Associate Veterinarian | 4-Day Week | No Weekends | $130K Base + Production | Brooksville, FL

Atlas are excited to be working with a privately owned, long-established small animal hospital in Brooksville, FL, seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their friendly, laid-back team.

This is one of the longest-standing clinics in the area, operating from a 4,600 sq. ft. standalone facility with 3 exam rooms, a large surgery suite, digital radiology, dental x-ray, IDEXX in-house labs, and a strong general practice caseload. The hospital focuses on dogs and cats only, with a broad mix of wellness, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, mass removals, exploratory surgery, and preventative medicine.

You’ll be joining a team with excellent staff retention, including long-tenured technicians and leadership. The clinic runs 30-minute appointments, blocks 12–2pm every day for lunch, callbacks, and catch-up time, and is open Monday–Friday only, with no weekends, no on-call, and no hospitalization. A genuine work-life balance is on offer here.

This is a growth position, with the hospital currently using relief support and ready to welcome a permanent DVM. New graduates can be supported, while experienced doctors will have clinical freedom and scope to build more surgery into their week if desired.

Key Highlights:

  • Privately owned, long-established small animal GP hospital
  • 4-day work week with no weekends, no on-call, and no emergency work
  • Monday–Friday opening hours, 7:30am–5:00pm
  • 30-minute appointments, with 1-hour slots for multi-pet visits
  • 12–2pm blocked daily for lunch, callbacks, and catch-up time
  • Digital x-ray, dental x-ray, IDEXX in-house labs, surgery suite, and dentistry caseload
  • Supportive team with long-tenured technicians and a relaxed, collaborative culture

About you:

  • DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US
  • You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in Florida
  • Confident or interested in general practice, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery
  • Calm, approachable, and able to stay level-headed when walk-ins arise
  • New graduate or experienced DVM considered, with mentorship available

Benefits:

  • $130,000 base salary, negotiable depending on experience
  • 22% production with no negative accrual
  • ProSal model, with straight salary considered if preferred
  • 4-day work week and no weekend requirement
  • Supportive team, strong technician support, and room to grow clinically
