Youll leverage data and reporting to derive insights about the company consumer and competitors. Youll then translate those insights to meaningful recommendations that will guide merchants in creating strategies that gain market share improve guest relevancy and enhance profitability.Position OverviewAs an Assortment Insights Lead youll be part of creating a new capability for Target! Youll collaborate with your partners in core merchandising to solve some of their biggest strategic opportunities from segmentation to emerging guest trends. You will be the go-to for centralizing insights into action for your merchant partners collaborating with insights teams across the addition to using your own curiosity you will intake questions directly from your merchant partners. Your knack for data-visualization and story-telling will be critical as you provide recommendations within business routines such as strategy planning category transition analysis and in-season optimization. Your influence on strategy will be measured by key performance indicators such as market share and assortment productivity and profitability. You will also use an Agile-mindset as you partner with the Merchandising Insights team who will build and provide tools and reporting that directly support your function. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.About youFour-year degree or equivalent experience6-10 years of relevant experience4 years of Merchandising or Category Management experienceStrong strategic financial and analytical skills; can easily translate data from an array of sources (including market guest and financial) into insights and recommendationsStrong communication skills with ability to visualize and tell compelling stories with dataStrong collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teamsFlexible resilient and comfortable working in grey areas that are constantly changingThis position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Targets needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team members core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually depending upon what your role team and tasks require for that day.
