Accounts Payable Specialist at Ports America Career Opportunity

The Accounts Payable Specialist is a mid-level accounts payable position within the Shared Service Center. The AP Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely entry of invoices and check requests.Essential Duties:Validates invoice header information within Imaging system to ensure accuracyInvoice routing within Imaging system to Site workgroups for coding and approvalsPerforms 2-way or 3-way PO match process within Imaging systemCommunicates with internal/external customers and staff on invoice and PO discrepanciesResponds to AP requests within 24 hours turnaround time via email or phoneReconciles supplier statements/accounts investigates discrepancies and resolves outstanding supplier credit balancesResearch and resolve conditions causing invoices on holdRun all necessary reports for month-end closingMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma or GED Equivalent3 years Accounts Payable experienceExperience with Oracle preferredImaging systemPreferred Requirements:Ability to communicate effectively through email or phoneAbility to work within system interface structureIntermediate Excel skills10-Key ProficiencyFamiliarity with MS OutlookHighly organized and able to prioritize workload with minimal directionAble to meet deadlines and work in fast paced environmentStrong customer service to internal and external customersSelf-StarterWorking Conditions:Office environmentTravel minimalNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
