JOB DESCRIPTION

Assurance Senior Associate

This role conducts audits, prepares GAAP-compliant financial statements, tests internal controls, mentors junior staff, and supports consulting projects. The position is available for immediate hire. Based in the Atlanta area with hybrid work flexibility up to two remote days per week. The firm is seeking a growing professional who can manage engagements, deliver high-quality work, and support clients across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities include performing audits, reviews, benefit plan audits, and compilations; preparing accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements and disclosures; documenting and testing internal controls for various types of engagements; supporting senior team members on consulting and advisory projects; supervising, training, and mentoring Associates and Interns; managing engagement budgets, timelines, and client expectations; identifying and resolving client issues proactively; and strengthening technical skills through training, CPE, and on-the-job learning.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA license preferred; 24 years of public accounting audit experience; industry experience in transportation, manufacturing, or construction is beneficial; strong understanding of audit principles and proficiency in Excel; experience with CCH ProSystem fx Engagement and IDEA is a plus; strong communication skills, client-service mindset, and ability to manage engagements; willingness to travel as needed; and strong self-motivation.
