Each of our divisions plays a critical role in daily preserving and delivering this mission.About the RoleThe ATDM CNC Manufacturing Technician must be a driven individual to assist with an accelerated short-term program in advanced manufacturing. Duties may include but are not limited to machine set-up lab for instruction setting up fixtures and tooling aiding the instructor during lab activities maintaining consumables inventory maintenance of cutting fluids and limited preventative maintenance on CNC and manual machine tools. This position may require travel and work on nights and weekends. Duties may include but are not limited to:Machine set-up lab for instructionSetting up fixtures and toolingAiding instructor during lab activitiesMaintaining consumables inventoryMaintenance of cutting fluidsLimited preventative maintenance on CNC and manual machine toolsShift AvailabilityATDM Instructors and Technicians are assigned shifts based on training needs. Shift assignments are based on business needs at the time of hiring performance and tenure. These positions require the flexibility to work all shifts as the program needs change. Your salary will include a shift differential based on the class times you are assigned to instruct. First shift classes start at 7:00 a.m. Second shift classes start at 3:00 p.m. Third shift classes start at 11:00 p.m.Work LocationWe are looking for staff to work onsite in Danville VA. The Ideal CandidateHigh school diplomaPrecision Machining Technology Diploma (or equivalent) and significant related occupational experience.Demonstrated ability to work with a widely diverse staff and student populationAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writingExperience or proficiency in the following:Shop safetyBlueprint reading and GD&T interpretationTechnical math including trigonometryLean and Six SigmaCAD/CAM software applicationsProgramming set-up and operation of CNC machine toolsMulti-axis machining.Advanced tooling practicesMicrosoft OfficeSalary & BenefitsIALR will offer a salary of $57000 - $59000 plus applicable shift differential.
