The prevention and care of athletic injuries is accomplished through emergency treatment rehabilitation conditioning and athletic counseling.Minimum QualificationsBachelors Degree in relevant fieldOne (1) or more years experience as a certified Athletic TrainerAT Certification from the National Athletic Trainers Association is requiredApplicants must meet stated minimum education and experience requirements.Preferred QualificationsMasters Degree in related fieldMinimum Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge and understanding of all aspects of an athletic training programKnowledge of NCAA regulations and guidelines governing the prevention and management of injuries in student athletesAbility to initiate develop and maintain contacts appropriate to an athletic training programStrong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse communityAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writingAbility to read understand follow and enforce safety proceduresFitness level required to perform manual exercise stretching and to carry heavy weightsShiftNon Standard Shift - requires weekends and/or evenings as needed to support athletics eventsTravelLocal travel between campus locations onlyDrivingIncidental driving possible but not requiredStarting Salary/RateExpected Rate: $31.20 / hr (fixed)Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidates salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget internal equity and the final candidates qualifications experience education and other job-related credentials.
