Job DescriptionJob Description**NO RECRUITERS, PLEASE**Turner Padget Graham and Laney, PA is seeking a highly motivated Paralegal - Workers' Compensation in our Columbia office. Essential duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:Document creation, filing, management and analysis for large casesSchedulingMedical record summaries and chronologiesProcurement of medical records/HIPAA compliancePreparation and service of subpoenas and other discovery requestsPreparation of pleadings and discovery responsesPreparation of routine status reports to clients or national counselStatewide roster/docket monitoringElectronic filings/ECF with Federal CourtTracking of time spent on client matters and enter time in CMS billing system in a timely matterEducation and Experience Required:Bachelor of Arts degree or Paralegal Certification4-6 years of Workers' Compensation experienceExperience in insurance company billing requirements Experience tracking and billing time spent on client mattersExperience with Case Management SoftwareCandidates should have the following skills and/or attributes:Keen attention to detail and organizationThorough understanding of the litigation processProficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc....)Professional demeanor, excellent communication and computer skills and the ability to manage a large caseload in a fast-paced environmentFirm-minded, client focused and demonstrates a positive team spiritTurner, Padget, Graham & Laney is committed to creating and maintaining a diverse and inclusive workforce, including attorneys and support staff, and conducting business with diverse clients.The firm broadly views diversity as all differences that make us unique and special life and work experiences, culture and beliefs, race, color, national origin, ethnicity, gender, age, disability, marital status, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, education, military service, differing abilities, and other distinguishing characteristics and aspects of life.
