JOB SUMMARY:

The Attraction Group Sales is responsible for booking group visitors to attractions for revenue goals.

POSITION AUTHORITY:

The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below or through reasonable assent present within this position.

POSITION GUIDELINES:

Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives.

The incumbent is expected to exercise sound, reasonable judgment and initiative in the performance of job responsibilities.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Solicit group bookings for Attraction venues.
2. Maintain current knowledge of exhibits, movies, education programs, special programs, events and hour of operations.
3. Must have good communications with all departments for existing and potential bookings.
4. Meet or exceed established booking goals.
5. Meet or exceed established solicitation goals: telephone, outside sales calls and client visits.
6. Follow up with clients in a timely manner; returning phone calls the same day and written correspondence.
7. Meet with clients at their convenience when possible; always meet and greet clients at the beginning of their functions, making sure everything is set according to their specifications.
8. Maintain maximum productivity from existing and new clients.
9. Represent Moody Gardens at trade shows and special events when needed, always in a professional manner.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

All Employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).

Ability to communication in open unfamiliar settings.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School education required
• Sales or related experience

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must be reliable and responsible
• Ability and knowledge to work a computer
• Prior knowledge of Maestro or Gateway Galaxy preferred
• Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
