DescriptionWere searching for an Audiology Clinical Specialist someone whos ready to be part of the best ranked childrens hospital in Texas and among the best in the this position you will provide the highest quality age-appropriate audiologic care for patients newborn to 21 years of age within the scope of practice and established practice standards for Audiology. The Clinical Specialist functions effectively as a member of the clinical team by providing advanced practice to patients. He/she provides informal education for and serves as preceptor and mentor of other staff members.Think youve got what it takesSkills & Requirements:Doctorate requiredDoctorate Audiology preferredTXAUDLIC - Texas Audiology License by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (or Texas Department of State Health if issued prior to 2017) required andBLS - Cert-Basic Life Support American Heart Association required andCCC-A - Cert-Audiology by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association within 6 months of position start date required orABA-CERT - Cert-Audiology by the American Board of Audiology within 6 months of position start date required3 years Post-graduate Audiology experience required*Pediatric vestibular experience preferred.As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Provides diagnostic assessmentsAge-appropriate diagnostic assessments and interpretationAmplification evaluations/dispensing verification validation programming and trainingDocumentation and patient/family educationComplete documentation meeting departmental standards for content accuracy and timeliness. Written reports mustaccurately and clearly describe history test results and recommendationsFollow policies and procedures for best practice according to TCH Audiology protocolsCounsels/educates parents regarding test results/recommendations/financial resourcesServe as mentor for Clinical Generalist or student externAt least 2 director approved ½ hour topic or case presentations per year to staff residents parents community and other professionalsActs as an audiology project leader committee leader or specialty team leaderParticipates in the development of evidence-based protocols and guidelinesRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Sales Experience,Crane,Customer Service,Communication skills,Heavy Equipment Operation,Microsoft Word,Case Management,OSHA,Team Management,Catheterization,Microsoft Outlook Calendar,EHS Employment Type : Part-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
