Audit Manager
Lead, plan, and supervise multiple audit engagements while managing client relationships, mentoring staff, and ensuring adherence to professional standards. Full-time position available immediately. As an Audit Manager, you will oversee multiple audit engagements from planning through issuance, strengthen client relationships, mentor staff, and contribute to firmwide initiatives while staying current with evolving auditing standards and best practices.
Key responsibilities include managing and performing audits, reviews, and compilations; overseeing all phases of engagements, ensuring compliance with quality control procedures; coordinating with partners regarding engagement progress, planning, scheduling, and client communications; handling direct client billing responsibilities; delegating work effectively and mentoring staff through ongoing coaching and performance reviews; developing a deep understanding of clients' industries, key performance indicators, and emerging trends; maintaining year-round communication with clients to monitor business developments affecting engagements; participating in networking and maintaining relationships within the business community; supporting management with policy and procedural decisions and assisting with firm initiatives; and traveling up to 20% depending on client needs.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting required; master's degree preferred; 512 years of public accounting or related audit experience; minimum of 3 years leading teams and training staff; active CPA license required; strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and financial statement attestation engagements; excellent analytical, research, and project-management skills; ability to multitask, work independently, and manage multiple teams; exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; and strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
