Job DescriptionJob DescriptionEntry-level role with paid training provided - RBT certification costs are fully covered!Location: San Leandro, Hayward, Oakland, LivermoreJob Type: PART-TIME (10 hours - 25+ hours per week)Schedule: Monday to Sunday, anywhere from 8AM-8:30PM. Preference is given to candidates with availability 2:00-8:00pmWork Setting: In-homeWhat You’ll Be Doing:As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Trainee, you will provide direct, 1:1 behavioral support to children with autism or other disabilities in their homes. Your role will involve implementing individualized behavioral programs, collecting data on client progress, and working closely with families to ensure a positive and supportive environment. This is a fantastic entry-level position for anyone interested in psychology, education, social work, therapy, or special education. You'll be making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families! We’ll pay you for your 40 hours of training, and once you pass the RBT exam, we’ll cover the cost! You’ll have access to online training, session overlaps, and hands-on support to help you prepare. Certification must be completed within 90 to 180 days of your start date. Key Responsibilities:Deliver 1:1 behavior programs in clients' homes (training provided)Engage with children in a fun and energetic way to support learning and developmentCollect accurate data on client progressCollaborate with families to provide a safe, supportive environmentParticipate in team meetings and receive ongoing training and mentorshipQualifications:Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for working with childrenRBT certification is a plus, but we will cover the cost of obtaining it! Or you have the desire to become RBT certified with our help!Spanish-speaking is a plusCPR & First Aid Certification is requiredAbility to work independently and communicate effectivelyReliability and a willingness to work with a variety of clientsExperience with children or individuals with disabilities is a plus, but not requiredBehavioral knowledge/experience is preferred, but not necessaryValid California driver’s license and reliable transportation is requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent required is requiredRequirements:Availability to work a consistent schedule (afternoons/evenings with some weekend/morning availability)Eligibility to work in the U.S.This job requires reliable transportation, valid auto insurance, and valid driver’s licenseThis job requires a criminal background checkThis job requires a Physical (past year) and TB Test (past 90 days)This job requires a valid CPR & First Aid CertificationWhy Join Us?At Burnett Therapeutic Services (BTS), we’re passionate about improving the lives of children and families through specialized behavioral services.
