Auto Body Repair Technician (Collision & Box Truck Repair)
Location: Upper Saint Clair, PA
Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly or W2 Commission
Compensation: $18.00- $30.00 / hr or Flat-Rate Equivalent

This role offers an exciting variety of work. You won't just be working on standard passenger vehicles; we see a steady flow of light to heavy bodywork, structural collision repairs, and commercial fleet work, including box truck and multi-purpose vehicle repair. Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Bodywork: Perform light to heavy structural auto body repairs, including panel replacement, dent pulling, and metal straightening.
- Commercial Box Truck Repair: Diagnose and repair structural damage unique to commercial box trucks, utility vehicles, and larger fleet frames (fiberglass, aluminum, and sheet metal repair).
- Surface Preparation & Sanding: Execute professional block sanding, feather-edging, and body filling to ensure a flawless, seamless foundation for the paint team.
- Component Alignment: Remove, repair, and properly reinstall vehicle trim, hardware, mirrors, and interior components damaged during collisions.
- Quality & Safety Control: Adhere strictly to shop safety guidelines, including proper utilization of PPE and ventilation systems, to deliver repairs that meet strict safety standards.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated background working as an Auto Body Tech in a collision repair center, dealership, or commercial fleet body shop.
- Versatile Technical Skillset: Proficiency in light-to-heavy body repair techniques, metalworking, welding, and working with diverse materials (fiberglass, composite, sheet metal).
- Sanding Mastery: Strong understanding of proper sanding techniques, grits, and surfacing protocols to achieve perfectly smooth finishes.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to handle the physical demands of a busy body shop, including lifting heavy components and working with specialized framework machinery.
- Valid Driver's License: A clean driving record is required for moving client and fleet vehicles around the shop.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- An active I-CAR or ASE Certification in Collision Repair.
- Previous experience specializing in commercial fleet, heavy duty, or medium-duty box truck structural fabrication.
