Mobile technician is a travel position. Hourly rate based on experience. The Auto Body Technician will make repairs to metal, plastic, and fiberglass parts of vehicles.Duties/Responsibilities:Plans the repair work that is necessaryUses various tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicleHammers out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage if possible; mixes and applies filler resins to repair dents when other methods are not feasibleRealigns chassis and frames to repair structural damageRemoves damaged sections of vehicles and replaces with new or aftermarket partsReplaces or repairs glass and windshields as neededReplaces or repairs interior parts as neededWelds and otherwise attaches or fits parts into placePrepares and repoints vehicle with factory-specified pain or agreed-upon equivalentEnsures all work has been executed correctly by inspecting vehicles after repairWhat you need to succeed:Ability to read job ordersAbility to work with other repairers within auto body shop or independentlyThorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodyThorough understanding of how to use tools required for the tradesEducation/ Experience:High School diploma or equivalentVocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in auto repair or related field preferredThree years of related experience preferredMust have a valid driver's license and relatable transportationRequired:You must supply your own general hand toolsMust be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and safety inspectionsMust be able to life 50 pounds at timesBlue Bird Bus Sales provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veterans' status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws. Powered by JazzHREyEy2ZVpCz
