Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time

Open Until Filled.

$18.88 to $20.77 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area/Melbourne. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Performs experienced service maintenance work operating moderately complex automotive vehicles or equipment and performing routine automotive service and maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS: One (1) year of experience operating moderately complex Public Works vehicles and equipment, including a ten (10) wheel standard shift dump truck and tractor mowers used in the construction and maintenance of transportation infrastructure, including roads, drainage systems, and sidewalks. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience documenting work using a work management system and mobile device that includes opening and closing work orders and uploading photo documentation is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. This is heavy physical work that involves exposure to extreme weather conditions, construction debris, moving machinery, traffic, noise, dirt, and dust. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
