Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Summary As an Automotive Technician, you will help drive the continued success by providing reliable and impeccable preventive maintenance service. Through face-to-face interactions, you will act as a trusted advisor to our customers, evaluating their needs and performing maintenance to keep their vehicles serviced and safe on the road. Benefits ResponsibilitiesDocument and perform work as outlined on repair order following all dealership and factory standardsDrain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil; replace oil and air filtersInspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessaryCheck tire pressure and add air if neededCommunicate with parts department to obtain needed partsKeep shop area neat and cleanMaintain accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manualsOperate all tools and equipment in a safe mannerPerform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealershipTest-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipmentDiagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services neededProvide an estimate of time needed for additional repairsExecuting repairs under warranty to manufacturer specificationsQualificationsEagerness to improveEntry-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair preferredStrong physical dexterity for working with toolsCollaborates well with others in a team settingStrong communication skillsPunctual and reliableHigh school diploma or equivalentExcellent customer service skillsBasic computer skillsPositive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentalityEnjoy working in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specificationsAble to operate electronic diagnostic equipmentValid driver's license and clean driving recordCompany Blurb We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
