Automation Engineer III at CRB

The Automation Engineer III is responsible for overseeing the discipline and managing the discipline budget on small to medium projects of limited complexity. The Engineer coordinates with internal and external engineers as well as client construction manager subcontractor and vendor interfaces. The Engineer possesses the demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex tasks establish priorities and direct the work of others. The Engineer may work independently or at the direction of the Lead Engineer or Project Manager. The Engineer will have the ability to develop designs of Control Systems of intermediate complexity consisting of multiple controllers HMIs Workstations and Servers.ResponsibilitiesInterface with client and external partnersPlan and direct work and manage a project budget from a discipline design perspective on small projects of limited complexity requiredSupport proposal development under the supervision of a lead or senior engineer requiredIdentify basic non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveysDevelop basic internal discipline design and engineering training presentations required.Develop construction drawing packages and write construction specifications on intermediate projects of limited complexity and with little oversight requiredLead squad check and discipline check for small projects of intermediate complexity and drive overall project quality requiredProvide mentorship to discipline Engineer I and/or Designer I and II requiredLead intermediate project system design programming and master planning with support from lead or Senior Engineer Qualifications : Minimum QualificationsABET-accredited Bachelors degree in discipline specific degree (ARE ChemE ME or EE)Minimum of 5 years of experience required preferably in a design firm settingFundamentals of Engineering Exam registration or completion preferred Additional QualificationsProficiency in AutoCAD and Revit preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office requiredProficiency in discipline specific software requiredIntermediate knowledge of GMP manufacturing environmentsIntermediate experience with performing instrumentation and controls engineering calculations anddeveloping and implementing instrumentation and control system design requiredIntermediate experience with implementing fundamental design aspects of control system schematicspanel fabrication drawings field wiring plans design preferredIntermediate experience reading and interpreting Piping and Instrumentation DiagramsIntermediate experience with the electrical code requiredIntermediate experience with other applicable industry standards requiredIntermediate experience with applicable mechanical and building codes requiredBasic experience and knowledge with designing Safety Instrumented SystemsProficient with intermediate internal and external cross-discipline project team coordination requiredProficient with intermediate coordination with construction trade partners vendors and manufacturers requiredProficient at intermediate list of discipline systems design calculations with limited supervisionBasic experience with troubleshooting issues with discipline and systems preferredAdditional Information : All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.CRB is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
