Job DescriptionJob Description Our Family owned Battery Shop located in Providence has been in business since 1966. We sell all kinds of batteries and install mainly automotive batteries.  We currently have a part-time position open for someone who wants to join our family of battery experts. We will train the right individual who has automotive experience.  No weekends, and no nights. Competitive Pay based on experience.  Must have automotive knowledge and experience. Hiring: Part-time Position. (Approx 20 hours per week.)Store Hours: Mon - Fri 8:00am -4:30pm Qualifications· Experience in automotive Field, Parts or Service· High school diploma or equivalent / additional education preferred.· Strong technical skills, mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.· Must have the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle a variety of tasks (waiting on customers, answering phone calls and cashing out customers).· Must be curious by nature and willing to learn to ask specific problem solving questions.· Valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record are required.· Reliable transportation, with current Insurance policy in force on the vehicle.Must be able to exchange accurate information over a land line phone and in person with customers. Physical Requirements· Frequently moves (lifts) & install heavy batteries each weighing (up to 60 lbs) daily.· Will need to move, bend, lift, squat and ascend/descend stairs frequently in and outside the store and in the garage to complete installations and lift, carry & sell our products. About the co:RI Battery Exchange Inc is a family-owned and operated Battery Sales & Installation Service Station located in Providence, RI. We are looking for an individual who can and will continue to grow with us and have an open-minded customer-focused attitude. Applicants must have basic auto mechanical knowledge and experience. We will provide all tools necessary and uniforms for the position.Who we decide to hire will be a dedicated and versatile individual best suited for a hybrid position that combines customer service, battery installation, and point-of-sale (POS) transaction operations (cashing out customers) to harmonize with our company’s mission to provide Trusted Power Guaranteed. Position Overview: As an Automotive Battery Installer, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the daily operations of our retail battery sales and service station. You will be responsible for testing, installing, and maintaining car batteries, while also assisting customers with their inquiries and transactions.
