Automotive Mechanic at Central Automative Group Inc

Growing automotive repair company seeks class A and B technicians.

This position focuses on preventative maintenance, brakes, tires, electrical and AC work, maintenance and repair work included but not limited to: alternators, starters, drive belts, radiators, tune ups, timing belts, steering and suspension systems, engine repair, etc.

Class B

Performs as outlined on repair order with effiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

Diagnoses vehicle problems based on customre complaints and inspection.

Communicates with pars department to obtain needed parts

Saves and tags pars of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer

Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended

Communicates with service advisor if additional work is needed or if work cannot be completed within promised time

Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order

Road Test vehicles

Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins

Inspects and test drives newly delivered vehicles for obvious damage and missing major components and drivability functions

Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor

Keeps shop area neat and clean

Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner

Other task as assigned

Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Class A position

In addition to Class B the A tech will have additional responsibility for diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, safety and drivability problems, conducting inspections, completing front end alignments, serving as a lead worker to other techs and other duties as assigned.
