Our mechanic shop provides quality repairs and services on numerous vehicle types. Whether a passenger car, medium duty truck, or semi-truck, our mechanics strive to ensure that all vehicles will be performing at its best before leaving one of our service bays. In addition to in-shop services, our TIA-certified technicians and 24/7/365 commercial tire emergency roadside technicians get the job done! From fleet inspections, new tires, Goodyear retreading, farm equipment, construction equipment, tractor/trailers, to Goodyear National Accounts and Government pricing, we are the Advanced Team! Join Advanced Tire Service as an Automotive Mechanic and enjoy a weekday schedule with no weekends or night shifts. This role offers you the chance to work on passenger cars and light trucks within a small, supportive team while building your career through ASE certification support and bonuses. If you have a passion for high-quality vehicle diagnostics and repairs and want to maintain a balanced personal and professional life, this is an ideal opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance with efficiency and quality
- Test-drive vehicles and use specialized diagnostic tools and equipment
- Inspect vehicle systems including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, and air conditioning
- Communicate directly with the Service Manager regarding additional service needs
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive technology and diagnostics
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform routine service inspections and lubrication of major components
- Complete other duties as assigned while working independently or within a team
Required Qualifications
- Own a personal set of tools
- Experience repairing passenger cars and light trucks
- Strong skills in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C systems preferred but not required
- Valid, clean driver's license
- Willingness to submit to drug screening and background check
- Strong teamwork, time management, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of automotive repair experience
- ASE certifications or progress toward certification
- Experience performing 4-wheel alignments
- Expertise with electrical and suspension systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
