This can be discussed during the interview processJob DescriptionThe Automotive Parts Director oversees the entire Parts Department ensuring efficient operations strong inventory management and outstanding internal and external customer support. This role is responsible for maximizing parts profitability maintaining accurate inventory levels reducing obsolescence and ensuring consistent alignment with Service and Sales departments. The Parts Director leads trains and develops the parts team while upholding dealership processes and manufacturer standards.The ideal candidate is organized detail-oriented and capable of balancing administrative tasks with hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with both Ford and Stellantis (CDJR) parts systems is highly preferred.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations of the Parts Department ensuring smooth workflow and strong team performanceTrain mentor and develop parts staff to meet departmental and dealership goalsMaintain a culture of accountability accuracy and excellent customer serviceManage parts inventory levels to meet service and sales needs without excessive stockMonitor aging reports weekly and proactively reduce obsolete inventoryEnsure accurate binning labeling and storage of all partsOversee annual and cycle physical inventory counts and reconciliationTrack and manage department KPIs including gross profit inventory turn fill rate and obsolescenceControl departmental expenses and maintain profitability goalsEnsure compliance with OEM parts programs (Ford and Stellantis)Approve and oversee all parts orders returns and core trackingMaintain strong vendor and OEM relationships to optimize pricing and availabilityNegotiate terms and resolve supply chain issues as neededWork closely with Service to ensure accurate special orders timely parts delivery and efficient RO processingPartner with Sales on parts needs for reconditioning upfitting accessories and warranty requirementsSupport Used Car operations with recon parts and efficient turnaround timesEnsure counter staff provide prompt accurate parts support to technicians and retail customersHandle escalated customer issues and resolve concerns professionallyMaintain clear communication with all dealership departments to improve workflow and efficiencyEnsure adherence to dealership policies OEM guidelines and safety standardsMaintain proper documentation reporting and operational checklistsImplement process improvements to boost efficiency and accuracyQualifications3 years of dealership parts experience (management or assistant management experience preferred)Strong knowledge of Ford and/or Stellantis OEM parts systemsExcellent communication and leadership skillsProficient in inventory control and cost managementExperience using Dealertrack is highly preferredAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProfessional customer-focused demeanorValid drivers license and clean driving recordWhy Join Veero Ford & Chrysler Dodge Jeep RamStable family-owned dealership with a strong community reputationCollaborative and process-driven management teamModern facility and updated parts systemsOpportunity to build and lead a growing departmentBenefitsCompetitive pay based on experience and certificationMedical dental and vision insuranceHealth Saving AccountHealth Reimbursement ArrangementRelocation Assistance for qualified applicants401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysLife insurance and vehicle purchase programEqual Opportunity Employer StatementVeero Ford & Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
