Automotive Engineering Manager at PACCAR Inc

Job Title: Automotive Engineering Manager Job Duties: Lead the development of technologies in driver assistance, cutting edge sensors, electrification and developer platforms for commercial vehicles. Investigate new technologies to support PACCAR’s products and services. Plan proof of concept activities, design features, and fabricate systems to be installed on test trucks for evaluation. Participate in engineering activities and technology events hosted at the PACCAR Innovation Center and vicinity. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or foreign degree equivalent and five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience which includes 18 months of experience in each of the following: • Providing technical leadership in directing a team of engineers in the development of engineering deliverables per the V-model systems development life cycle; • Modeling vehicle related system architecture using SysML-based tools; • Supporting technical architecture reviews for automotive functional safety and supporting advanced driver assistance feature design; • Developing requirements for product development using appropriate life cycle management tools; • Planning activities and resources to meet project milestones; • Implementing new features in electronic systems using embedded software coded in C language; and • Supporting automotive system evaluation activities including behavioral simulation and communication of technical information to individuals of different technical backgrounds. Experience may be gained concurrently. SALARY: $174,731 per year to $232,830 per year. The salary range is for our California site only.
