We provide continuous online and hands-on training for all positions, a fantastic culture with monthly cook-outs and fishing tournaments and opportunities for advancement which will help you grow at Walker Automotive!BENEFITS:Excellent bonus planPotential relocation bonus - depending on experienceExcellent Medical, Dental, Vision options401K Life insuranceCareer GrowthEmployee DiscountsPaid TrainingPAY: Pay is based off experience/skills: $35,000-$100,000 a year RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealershipTest-drive vehicles, and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipmentDiagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.  Providing an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs.Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or equivalent2-year college degree in vehicle maintenance/automotive technology preferredStrong automotive backgroundStrong teamwork skillsWilling to submit to a drug screen & background checkValid driver’s license free from major infractions requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.Must be able to lift 30 lbs. regularly.Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed.Good vision to inspect repair work.Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
