An Introduction Community Automotive Repair started in 1975. Our shop is locally owned and operated. We are adding to our team of highly trained professionals. Make a difference as a Experienced Automotive Technician Level 2 - B-tech As an Experienced Automotive Technician Level 2 - B-tech at Community Automotive Repair, you can expect a hands-on role where you will diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle issues. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting complex problems, and using diagnostic tools effectively. You'll work on engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems, ensuring each vehicle meets safety and performance standards. Your full-time schedule will consist 42.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This structure provides consistency while allowing for a collaborative work environment where you can share insights and learn from experienced colleagues. Each day will bring new challenges and opportunities to enhance your technical skills while contributing to a team dedicated to customer satisfaction and quality service. Would you be a great Experienced Automotive Technician Level 2 - B-tech? To succeed as an Experienced Automotive Technician Level 2 - B-tech at Community Automotive Repair, you'll need a solid foundation in various automotive skills and tools. Proficiency in general maintenance tasks, such as oil and filter services, tire mounting and balancing, and fluid changes, is essential. You'll also be required to effectively use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues across multiple systems, including brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC. Experience in repairing and replacing battery and charging systems, major engine components, coolant systems, and exhaust components-possibly involving welding-is crucial. A strong ability to document logical cause-and-effect relationships in your work will enhance workflow. Additionally, you should be comfortable using both hand and power tools and possess 2 to 3 years of professional experience as an automotive technician. A state certification is required, and ASE certification is preferred, or you should be willing to pursue it for career advancement. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: General maintenance (oil/filter service) Tire mounting & balancing Alignment Fluid changes Diagnostic tools & equipment use Repair/replace battery & charging systems Major engine components Coolant systems Brake systems Steering & suspension Drivetrain & powertrain HVAC heating & cooling Exhaust components (including welding) Logical cause-and-effect documentation 2-3 years professional automotive technician experience State certification required (ASE certification preferred/willing to pursue) Join our team today!
