Job DescriptionJob DescriptionEldor Automotive Powertrain USA is searching for two Shift (Junior) Engineers to join our team at the Production Plant located in Daleville, producing Ignition systems for the US Automotive Market. We are seeking candidates with a strong background/interest in robotics or programming. Position will require critical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with good communication, a good team cooperation spirit, and desire to continue learning.The Shift Engineer is responsible for maintaining the production line and auxiliar equipment, keeping them working properly, to ensure production efficiency, quality targets and meeting customer requirements. The Shift Engineer has the following responsibilities:Provide an efficient and effective operation for the production line and auxiliary equipmentEnsure that production line and auxiliar equipment are working properly, replacing broken / faulty equipment whenever necessary, order in case of missing spare.Have a good understanding of mechanical/electrical/pneumatic drawings, designs and product and process specifications.Having strong analytic thinking skills for problem solving at machine breakdown troubleshooting and root cause investigationProposing modifications/improvements to avoid the same failure mode in the future, when applicableCorrectly fill out the machine breakdown service orders for each intervention.Support the implementation of improvement projects in the production process.Support the introduction of new products/processes in the production process.Communicate and coordinate with Production and Quality teams as its necessary to improve process.Comply with all applicable Environment/Health/Safety requirements.Learn and apply the 7S rules (internal standardization and sustainability efforts across the plant)Desired Education:Associates in Mechatronics, Robotics, Instrumentation & Automation, Electrical Engineering, etc. Bachelor's of Mechanical EngineeringCompletion of industry-specific certification or programs may be considered as wellExperiences Preferred: (or a combination or education/experience)Three years of experience in production, maintenance, FMCG or automotive areas and operating with highly automated production linesExperience in mechanics, electrical, electronics, pneumatics Automation experienceOperation of lathe, milling, grinding, CNC and other mechanical machining equipment is desirableProgramming background is a plusTechnical Knowledge/Skills:Robotics, automation, industrial communication, image processing and their uses in manufacturing processesTroubleshooting Machine BreakdownsSpare Parts ManagementPLC/HMI ProgrammingCamera ProgrammingRobot ProgrammingBasic mechanical applicationsBENEFITSTraining opportunities and potential for Tuition ReimbursementCompetitive pay based on experience.Performance reviews and opportunities for raisesQuarterly bonuses (typically averages between $350-500)Health, dental, and vision insurance options.Short-Term/Long-Term Disability401K with up to 5% matchAll employees start with 5 days of PTO, plus 2 weeks of vacation (accrued)Opportunities for advancement and professional development.A positive and supportive work environment.Access to ONSITE Gym, Café, and other benefitsEOE – Equal Opportunity Employer.1: 2nd shift position1: 3rd shift position1: 2nd shift position (4:00pm - 12:00am)1: 3rd shift position (12:00am - 8:00am)
