DMPS is looking for a 6th GradeMath andScience teacher for the 25-26 school year. Location is still being determined.Any teacher with a K-6 teaching endorsement is elligible to teach in this position!TITLE: TCHR General Education Teacher K-12POSITION TYPE: TCHRHIRING SPECIFICATIONS:Required:Valid Iowa teaching license (appropriate endorsement code for teaching assignment).Knowledge of subject curriculum effective teaching methods.Demonstrated effectiveness in oral and written communications.Competency working in a culturally diverse environment or the willingness to acquire these skills.Desired:Previous classroom teaching experience.Experience in an urban school district.BASIC FUNCTION:Responsible for planning and delivering a high-quality educational program to meet childrens academic and social-emotional needs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Deliver daily lessons aligned to state and district standards that meet students individual needs and ensure growth.Create a culturally inclusive classroom that meets the academic and social emotional needs of students.Participate in building and district professional learning communities to plan for instruction analyze data and create assessments.Monitor student learning on a daily basis.
