JOB TITLE: Avionics/Electrical Technician II - 2nd Shift LOCATION: Savannah GA PAY RATE: $32.18/hour We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client. Job Details: Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension) Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation Benefits: Medical dental and vision (Cigna) Perks: Bonus potential Priority access via Tier 1 supplier Openings Nationwide: Thousands of opportunities across the U.S. Qualifying Questions: Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary Summary: Perform advanced avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting. Install and functionally test electrical/avionics components and systems in accordance with engineering specifications drawings and maintenance manuals. Ensure high-quality efficient installations; troubleshoot processes and concepts to deliver timely quality repairs. Repair or replace defective components and wiring using approved practices including splicing soldering and pinning. Perform and comply with required engineering changes and modifications. Set up and operate test equipment; conduct functional and operational tests to assess performance and reliability. Ensure all work is properly documented and prepared for inspection. Test and maintain test equipment electronic systems and components. Adhere to company programs including FOD control tool control 5S and all safety regulations. Adapt effectively to sudden schedule changes. Support aircraft certification and final phase testing including flight tests as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. Four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field or two (2) years of accredited aviation electronics schooling plus two (2) years of related experience. Preferred proficiency in troubleshooting other aircraft systems/disciplines (e.g. hydraulics landing gear flight controls environmental systems or structural installations/repairs). Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematics. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to climb stairs and ladders work in confined spaces and lift up to 50 lbs. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred. FCC license preferred. NCATT certification preferred. Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
