AVP, Product Manager

We are excited to bring on an AVP, Product Owner to join our Group Protection Portfolio Enablement team in a remote or hybrid environment, depending on your proximity to one of our key cities. As the AVP - Product Manager, you will oversee a team of roughly eleven (11) individual contributors. You will provide direction and functional expertise to the aligned value stream, responsible for delivery of execution scope items and ongoing prioritization of business technology needs. You will also have primary responsibility for the Group Protection technology enablement intake process.

You will be responsible for the Group Protection technology enablement intake process, including triage of requests, coordination with leadership for prioritization, and confirmation of approved business case across the business ecosystem of all functional business areas. You will serve as the business liaison engaging on new AI opportunities presented to the business for due diligence as part of our enterprise AI governance process. You will lead the team providing Group Protection organizational readiness and project management activities and execution plans, supporting various initiatives across the business as needed, and prioritizing capacity and assignment according to business strategies.

You will maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assess the impact, and collaborate with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies. You will direct and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives. In addition, you will identify and direct strategic process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit. You will provide training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and give honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent. You will direct and evaluate departmental performance and take appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards. You will lead the Quarterly Portfolio Review (QPR) on behalf of Value Stream, define and presents quarterly priorities in the QPR memo. In addition, you will own the Value Stream backlog and roadmap; prioritize Epics for the Value Stream. You will synchronize the vision with Product Owners and manage cross-team dependencies.

Must-have experience (Required): 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's). 10+ Years of Insurance industry experience directly related to this position. 3+ Years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience including influencing senior management/critical stakeholders experience. Demonstrate strong transformational leadership skills including critical ability to develop and execute operational change impacting people, process, and technology. Ability to think critically, analyze information, evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution, and to make decisions under pressure. Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal/external stakeholders with proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches. Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.

The pay range for this position is $127,500 - $232,300 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
