AWOS Field Service Technician (Remote) at Mesotech International, Inc.

We are seeking an experienced AWOS Field Service Technician to join our team in a remote role with extensive travel. This position is responsible for the installation commissioning maintenance and repair of FAA-certified AWOS equipment at airports and aviation facilities across the United States.Qualifications : Key ResponsibilitiesInstall configure and commission FAA-certified AWOS systems at customer sites nationwidePerform preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repair of AWOS equipmentConduct system upgrades and modifications in accordance with FAA standardsComplete all required FAA documentation and certifications for installed systemsProvide technical support and training to customers on AWOS operation and maintenanceMaintain detailed service records and documentation for all field activitiesCoordinate with project management and engineering teams on installation schedules and technical requirementsEnsure all work complies with FAA regulations and Mesotech quality standardsRequired QualificationsFCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) - RequiredFAA Authorized Technician certification - RequiredPrevious experience installing and maintaining FAA AWOS systemsStrong understanding of FAA regulations governing aviation weather systemsProficiency with electronic test equipment and diagnostic toolsExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionValid drivers license with clean driving recordAbility to travel 70-80% of the time including overnight staysPhysical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditionsPreferred QualificationsExperience with multiple AWOS manufacturers and system typesKnowledge of airport operations and communications systemsFAA Repairman certificateMilitary or DOD weather systems experienceWork EnvironmentRemote position based from homeExtensive travel required (70-80%) to customer sites nationwideField work in various weather conditionsOccasional work at heights (towers rooftops)Flexible schedule to accommodate customer needs and travel requirements Additional Information : Mesotech offers a comprehensive and generous benefits program including health insurance retirement plan and travel expense reimbursement.
