AWS Clouds Operations Administrator at American IT Systems

AWS CLoud Operations Admin Contract GC/USC Must be GC or USC and Local to Houston Little Rock or New Orleans Contract to Possible Hire We are seeking an experienced AWS Senior Cloud Operations Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing monitoring and supporting our AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability performance and security of critical applications and services. Responsibilities Administer and support AWS services such as EC2 S3 RDS VPC and IAM. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot incidents to maintain uptime and reliability. Implement automation using Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation Terraform) and scripting (Python Bash PowerShell). Manage deployments backups patching and disaster recovery processes. Collaborate with development and security teams to enforce best practices. Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and scalability. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field (or equivalent experience). 5 years of IT experience with at least 3 years in AWS administration. Strong knowledge of AWS core services and cloud networking concepts. Hands-on experience with automation monitoring tools and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with security compliance and governance in cloud environments. Excellent troubleshooting communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Certifications AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect. ITIL or other relevant certifications a plus.
