Job ID: 5508Date Posted: December 9 2025The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking an experienced Azure System Administrator to implement secure and maintain our cloud and hybrid infrastructure. This is an on-site non-remote position in our North Logan UT location.Key Responsibilities:Works with leaders to prioritize projects requests changes and tasksCollaborates with cross-functional teams to prioritize tasks support project implementations and improve system architectureManages and administers Azure resources including Azure AD VMs storage accounts virtual networks Azure Firewall and related servicesMonitors cloud and hybrid systems for availability performance cost efficiency and securityImplements and enforces cloud governance RBAC conditional access policies and compliance standardsHardens and maintains Azure and Windows systems through patching configuration baselines identity controls and security best practicesSupports hybrid operations including AD/Azure AD Connect Windows Server and identity synchronizationAutomates tasks and deployments using PowerShell or Azure automation toolsDocuments configurations changes incidents and solutions in JiraParticipates in cloud architecture discussions and assists in designing scalable secure Azure environmentsPerforms maintenance with minimal downtime and provides after-hours support when requiredCoordinates with cross-functional teams to drive projects maintain system reliability and provide support Participates in change management processes; documents system configurations incidents and resolutions clearly and timelyRequired Qualifications:10 years experience and a BS degree in a related technical field (e.g. IT computer science information systems engineering) or 15 years of experience in lieu of a degreeHands-on experience administering Azure environments (Azure AD VMs networking storage policies RBAC)Strong Windows administration skills including Server group policy security hardening and patchingExperience with scripting/automation using PowerShellExperience maintaining hybrid identity (AD AADC conditional access authentication flows)Solid understanding of cloud security controls monitoring and complianceExcellent written and verbal communicationMust be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security ClearanceMust be willing to travel if neededCompTIA Security (or equivalent) required or obtained within 30 daysMust be willing to perform after-hours maintenance and provide on-call support when neededPreferred Qualifications:Advanced Azure administration experienceFamiliarity with Azure networking (vNets NSGs VPN/ExpressRoute private endpoints)Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep ARM Terraform)Experience using cloud monitoring and security tools (Defender for Cloud Sentinel Log Analytics policy compliance)Knowledge of DoD security requirements STIGs and tools such as Nessus or SCAPVMware or other virtualization experience in hybrid environmentsMicrosoft certifications (AZ-104 AZ-800/801 etc.)*Salary Range$107000 - $144000Salary commensurate based on education and relevant experienceThis range serves as a general guideline and may vary based on factors such as role level location market conditions and individual qualifications including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training.
