Then in the afternoon for pickup at 4:00 until bedtime at 8:00. Will alter hours on days there is no school. Private client is seeking a professional special needs nanny to care for 8 year old, MUST HAVE ABA background & be able to implement behavioral planpreferred Education Background (Early Childhood Education / Child psychology/ Special NeedsAbility to Create Lesson Plans / Educational ActivitiesStrong command of EnglishAbility to Effectively DisciplineHonesty and Integrity Full Job DescriptionFamily is seeking an experienced, professional, active, and engaging full-time Special Needs Nanny. The position requires extreme flexibility as the family's schedule changes at various times in the year (e.g., summer, holidays, travel, etc.). Applicants need to be honest, trustworthy, understand the importance of maintaining discretion, collaborative and experienced working with family office and domestic staff. The family is open to local candidates only. The start date is flexible for the right candidate.Responsibilities:Experienced with ABA & behavioral modification, play-based learning and creating educational activities (e.g. plan engaging, developmentally appropriate games and activities, projects and crafts, themed weeks, scheduled outings, etc.)Knowledgeable about child development (e.g., firm when necessary and capable of teaching children manners and etiquette, but also capable of being laid back and fun)Support teaching and reinforcement of manners and other social skillsProvide developmentally appropriate games and activities, engaging projects and crafts at home, and schedule/plan fun outings and eventsAssist children with homework and school projects (when age-appropriate)Transport children to and from school, scheduled activities, sports, play dates, outings, etc.Prepare fresh and healthy meals for children that introduce them to new foods (communicating with private chef regarding food relating to children)Domestic duties relating to child (e.g., washing dishes after meals, tidying playroom and bedroom, packing and unpacking children for trips/ travel, etc.)Organizational projects relating to child (e.g., taking toys and clothing to donation, rotating children's clothes seasonally, rotating books and toys quarterly or bi-annually, etc.)Experienced and willing to be an extension of the parents collaborating and communicating frequently (previous experience working with principals that are around the residence is ideal) Qualifications:ABA BACKGROUND experience with implementing behavioral plansCapable of building rapport with similar aged childrenExperienced working with similar aged children (toddlers, preschool, school-aged, etc.)Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, excellent time management, efficient and service focusedAttentive to principal's preferences and style (intuitive to their needs)Observant to the needs of the family to anticipate their needs (e.g., plan engaging activities at home, proactively plan activities for travel, etc.)Ability to maintain discretion (confidentiality agreement is required)Ability to be discreet with respect for employer’s privacyAbility to easily take directionPositive attitude and ability to handle position with ease and calm demeanorActive, energetic, engaging, nurturing, and creativeProactive, resourceful and take initiative to get things done Requirements:EXPERIENCE WITH CHILDREN O THE SPECTRUMBachelor’s degree with ABAPassionate about education, child development, etc.3-4 referencesSeeking longevity (e.g., 2-5+ year commitment)Eligible to work in the United StatesAbility to complete extensive background checks, motor vehicle checks, drug tests and psychological evaluationDriver's license and clean driving recordCPR CertificationVaccinations (e.g., TDap, MMR, Flu shot)Job Type: Part-time Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits:Paid time offSchedule:4 hour shift8 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Miami Beach, FL 33109: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Nannying: 3 years (Required)License/Certification:Driver's License (Required)CPR Certification (Required)Shift availability:Day Shift (Required)Work Location: One location
