Job DescriptionBag Prep- 2nd ShiftLocation:Kraft Heinz Cedar Rapids4601 C Street SWCedar Rapids IA 52404Plant Overview:3-Shift OperationNon- Union Facility with approximately 200 hourly staff members which are a mix of temporary and full-time associates.100% Food Service 4 bag soup lines 1 tub line 18 Kettles 5 Filling lines and 4 packaging lines.Products include Frozen Soups and Macaroni & CheeseCompany History: Kraft Heinz in Cedar Rapids started as Ashby Soups and was originated in the mid 1980s by Jamie and Shannon Ashby along with their mother using family held recipes for many kinds of the 1990s the name was changed to Quality Chef Foods. Kraft Heinz in Cedar Rapids is looking for candidates that want to make great soups!Highly skilled operator capable of being flexible and working in multiple different positions as required from day to day. Have solid knowledge of bag prep spice hand pre-weigh and all products requirements. Identify any quality concerns with the ingredients allergen labeling or cleans/changeovers.Responsibilities & Duties:Weigh raw ingredients according to recipeOrganize ingredients according to recipes by placing them in barrels drums etc.Perform constant / accurate inventory checks on ingredients according to schedulesStage materials according to recipeComplete paperwork / IQS entriesCover staged ingredientsPlace recipe tag on barrel / carts when recipe is completeClean / Sanitize work areaHelp with other recipes as neededOther duties as assignedAssemble/changeover equipment as assigned.Quality (verify product quality item numbers weights)Safety (follow all required safe work practicesie: PPE JSA)Qualifications:Must be detail-oriented and possess good organizational skillsMust be able to lift at least 50 lbs. above your headMust be able to perform well under stressWorking conditions include extremes of hot and cold temperatures.Ability to communicate effectively.Ability to work independently and with others.Must be able to work in a safe manner.Must ensure quality products are being packaged.Responsible for following all Food Safety Policies and Safety Procedures.Responsible for Q-RMP standards implementation as defined by the accountability list document.Employees will follow all safety protocols and perform their job responsibilities in a safe manner.
