Ballistics Technician at A2Z Personnel- Hamilton

Full-Time On-GoingThe Ballistics Technician plays a key role in ensuring the precision safety and performance of small-firearms ammunition. This position requires at least five years of experience in ballistic testing priming supervision and quality control. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician with strong problem-solving abilities hands-on technical expertise and a passion for maintaining high manufacturing and safety standards in a fast-paced production environment.Job Duties:Perform inspections on machinery.Troubleshoot projectile performance issues.Evaluate test results for compliance.Oversee machine maintenance and resolve technical issues.Monitor inventories and report shortages.Oversee the manufacturing process for brass and bullets.Supervise packagers and inspectors in the Ballistics department.Provide training to junior machine operators.Directly supervise approximately 5 packagers and inspectors in the Ballistics Department.All other job duties as assigned.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years experience in ballistics and explosive testing priming of small firearms ammunition and quality control required.Prior experience working in an Ammunition Manufacturing Facility.Strong understanding of firearm mechanics ammunition components and ballistic behavior.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex ballistic or mechanical issues.Strong adherence to safety protocols especially involving firearms live ammunition and controlled testing environments.Background check and drug screen required upon offer of employment.Job Type:Full-timeWage:$ DOEJob ID:19463Call A2Z Personnel in Hamilton or Stevensville for information regarding this position or to ask about our benefits which include health coverage retirement savings and personal paid time off.A2Z Personnel is an equal-opportunity employer and is committed to promoting a diverse workplace.
