JOB DESCRIPTION

The Bankruptcy Data Entry Clerk is responsible for entering, reviewing, and maintaining bankruptcy case data, assisting with document preparation and filing, and ensuring cases move efficiently and accurately through each stage of the bankruptcy process. Attention to detail, strong computer skills, and the ability to manage deadlines are critical for success in this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately enter and maintain bankruptcy case data in the firm/s case management system
  • Review bankruptcy documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely case progression
  • Assist with preparation and filing of bankruptcy-related documents
  • Communicate with clients, creditors, attorneys, trustees, and court personnel as needed
  • Communication with the manager directly and any designated project leads required.
  • Learn and efficiently use bankruptcy software and internal systems
  • Identify discrepancies or missing information and take corrective action
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and personal information
  • Generate reports and provide internal case updates
  • Other similar duties as assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Clever Case)
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort and capability of communicating in writing and verbally with difficult or challenging clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team remotely without office supervision
  • Must be able to work remotely in Pacific Standard Time Zone

Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted.


WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Duties will be performed in a fully remote environment without a standard office. Employees must have the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Gravis policy. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be required to work weekends, holidays, be on call, and some employees could be required to travel overnight on occasion.
